Abstract
Turnover intention is the desire or intention to leave a company and move to another workplace for certain reasons, such as career development, a more comfortable workplace, and a better job. This study aims to examine the significant effect of workload on turnover intention among millennial employees in East Java. This study used a quantitative research type with a correlational design and involved 388 millennial employee respondents. The instruments used were the Demand Control Social Questionnaire (DCSQ) and Mobley's Measurement Model. The results of the regression analysis showed that workload has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention with an effect size of 62.6%. This finding indicates that the higher the workload borne by employees, the higher the level of turnover intention in the company. The implications of this study encourage companies to provide workloads appropriately according to employee capabilities to prevent excessive work pressure that can lead employees to decide to leave the company.
