Abstract
The misuse of personal data by legal online lending services has become an increasingly prevalent issue in the digital era. These cases raise public concern because their data is used without permission to access personal contacts, intimidate, and even humiliate victims. This study aims to examine how law enforcement is carried out against these violations based on Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection, with the research location at the Malang Police Department. The method used was a sociological-juridical approach with data collection techniques through interviews, documentation, and literature review. The results show that law enforcement efforts still face obstacles, both in terms of infrastructure, lack of public understanding, and technical limitations of officers in handling digital cases. Therefore, synergy is needed between the police, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and other institutions to strengthen personal data protection and make law enforcement more effective in the digital era.
