Abstract

This study aims to explain the use of the User Persona method in eliciting requirements for an online railway ticket reservation system. In the development of online ticketing systems, a deep understanding of user needs is essential for designing a better user experience. The User Persona method is used as an approach to identify, describe, and understand user needs more effectively. In this research, User Personas were created to represent different groups of users within the online train ticket booking system. These personas include information such as travel objectives, ticket booking preferences, and other specific needs. By using User Personas, system developers can gain deeper insights into user preferences and utilize them in system development. The use of User Personas in the development of an online railway ticket reservation system offers several benefits. First, User Personas help in designing more relevant and engaging features, enhancing user interaction and experience. Second, User Personas enable system developers to better understand user preferences and needs, allowing them to provide more suitable solutions. Third, User Personas assist in identifying unmet needs and improving deficiencies in the existing online ticketing system. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of how User Personas can be applied in eliciting user requirements for online railway ticket reservation systems. By taking user needs into greater consideration through User Personas, it is expected that system developers can design more adaptive and user-centered ticketing systems, aligned with user preferences and capable of improving overall user satisfaction.
