Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the work environment and work discipline on employee performance at the Perum Perhutani KPH Office in Probolinggo City. The underlying problem is the fluctuation in employee performance, which is thought to be influenced by the condition of the work environment and the level of employee discipline. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population and sample in this study amounted to 60 people. Data were obtained through distributing questionnaires using a saturated sampling technique. The data analysis techniques used were scale range and multiple regression analysis. The results of the scale range indicate that the work environment is in the good category, work discipline is in the very high category, and employee performance is in the very high category. The results of the multiple regression analysis indicate that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Thus, employee performance can be improved if influenced by the work environment and work discipline. Management needs to pay attention to both factors as a strategy in optimizing the achievement of goals or employee performance.
