Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work-life balance on employee performance, both directly and through job satisfaction as a mediating variable on employees of PT. PLN (Pesero) ULP Dinoyo, ULP Blimbing and ULP Kebonagung Malang. The method used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory research type. The research sample consisted of 50 permanent employees determined by the total sampling technique. Data processing was carried out using the PLS-SEM tool through SmartPLS 4.1. The results of the study indicate that work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and job satisfaction also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, the direct effect of work-life balance on employee performance is not significant. Nevertheless, job satisfaction is proven to significantly mediate the relationship between work-life balance and employee performance. This finding emphasizes the importance of creating a balance between work and personal life in increasing job satisfaction which ultimately has a positive impact on employee performance.
