Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work ability and work motivation on employee performance in home-based sarong weaving industries in Bima Regency. The type of research used is explanatory with a quantitative approach. The data were obtained from questionnaires distributed to a sample of 60 respondents. The data analysis methods used include scale range analysis and multiple linear regression. The scale range results show that work ability is in the high category, work motivation is in the high category, and employee performance is also in the high category. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis indicate that work ability has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, andwork motivation also has a significant effect. Moreover, work motivation has a greater influence on performance than work ability. This study provides practical implications for home industry managers to improve productivity and business sustainability through the development of competitive human resources.
