Abstract
The success of a company is closely tied to the importance of its human
resources. However, an employee's job satisfaction is a factor that influences the quality of
their performance. As employees in the restaurant industry, which is part of the
food&beverage (F&B) sector, they often interact directly with customers, but they can also
experience stress. This study aims to determine the effect of stress on the job satisfaction of
restaurant employees in Jakarta. A total of 88 respondents, including 53 women and 35
men, were involved in this study. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling
using the accidental sampling method approach. The results showed that the F-test
significance value of 65.796 was below 0.005, indicating a significant effect of work stress
on job satisfaction. Thus, the research hypothesis is accepted. The R Square value of work
stress is quite large at 0.402 or about 40.2%, indicating the influence of the X variable
(work stress) on the Y variable (job satisfaction). Meanwhile, 59.8% is influenced by other
factors. The researcher hopes to provide new insights, especially for food and
beverage(F&B) industry practitioners, both managers and employees.
