Abstract

Background: Bullying is a form of violence frequently experienced by adolescents
and has a significant impact on mental health. This condition may lead to psychological
disorders and even suicide attempts. Understanding the experiences of adolescents
who have been victims of bullying and attempted suicide is essential to address this
issue effectively. Objective: This study aims to explore the experiences of adolescents
who have experienced bullying and attempted suicide, identify the forms of bullying,
and analyze the triggering factors and their impact on mental health. Method: This
research employed a qualitative design with a descriptive phenomenological approach.
Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation
involving one primary participant and two supporting informants. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, and data were analyzed using data reduction,
data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. Results: Three main themes
emerged from the analysis: (1) psychological disturbances characterized by behavioral
changes, anxiety, and social withdrawal; (2) stress management strategies carried out by
the family through emotional support and reporting the case to the school; and (3)
mental health disorders leading to hopelessness and suicide attempts. Conclusion:
Bullying significantly affects adolescents' psychological conditions, increasing the risk
of suicide attempts. Family and community support play a crucial role in preventing
further negative impacts and restoring adolescents' mental well-being.
