PERAN PEMERINTAH DESA DALAM PENGEMBANGAN WISATA BRAKSENG DI DESA SUMBERBRANTAS KOTA BATU

This study aims to analyze the role of the village government in developing the Brakseng tourism destination in Sumber Brantas Village, by examining the policies, programs, and initiatives that have been implemented to optimize the tourism potential, as well as analyzing the supporting and inhibiting factors that influence the Brakseng tourism development process.
This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation that support the data presented. Information was obtained from the main sources, namely BUMDes members, Kasi Pelayanan staff and the community. Data analysis involves data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to provide a comprehensive picture of Brakseng tourism development through the role of the village government.
The results of the Village Regulation Research Number 5 of 2021 concerning Sumberbrantas Tourism Village aim to promote sustainable tourism and involve active community participation to improve the local economy. In carrying out its role as a Tourism Management Unit, BUMDes Kaki Langit faces challenges in the form of a lack of strategic long-term planning and limitations in management capabilities. Tourism promotion efforts are still ineffective because they only rely on the YouTube platform and informal promotions through personal communication, without the support of well planned promotion programs or holding annual events to attract visitors.
