This study aims to analyze the business profile, technical aspects,
market, financial performance, and risk management of Mandiri
Farm, a layer chicken farm located in Sampang Regency, Madura.
The enterprise was established independently in 2018 with an initial
capacity of 2,000 layers and expanded to 7,000 layers in 2019.
Data were collected through observation, documentation, and
financial report analysis. The findings show that strategic location,
adequate production facilities, and proper management practices
are the main factors supporting the sustainability of the farm. In 2024, the total production cost reached IDR 805,318,000, while the
total revenue was IDR 1,117,286,000, resulting in an R/C ratio of
1.38, indicating that the business is financially feasible. The Break
Even Point (BEP) was calculated at IDR 35,013 per kg and 17,141
kg of egg production, while the Margin of Safety (MOS) was 68%,
suggesting that the farm is relatively safe from financial losses. The
main risks include poultry diseases, fluctuations in feed and egg
prices, and changes in government regulations. Sustainability
strategies applied by the farm involve environmentally friendly
waste management, the use of local labor to support rural
employment, and plans for collaboration with cooperatives and
local government. In conclusion, Mandiri Farm shows promising
prospects for further development, with emphasis on improving
productivity, strengthening market access, and implementing
sustainable farming practices.
