Abstract
Early adulthood is a transitional stage from adolescence to maturity, when individuals face tasks such as choosing a partner, preparing for marriage, and starting family life. Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) sets the minimum marriage age for men at 25 years, considering they should be physically and psychologically mature, especially emotionally. Unstable emotional maturity can affect marital life. Men as future husbands and fathers, need stable emotional maturity. One factor related to emotional maturity is parent attachment. This study utilized a correlational quantitative approach with accidental sampling, resulting in 219 male respondents aged 25-40 years and not married yet. The results show a significant correlation between father attachment and emotional maturity among early adult males at the ideal marriage age (r = 0,564, p < 0,001).
