Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation and work discipline on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collection methods through distributing questionnaires. The sampling technique is saturated sampling (census), where the entire population of 80 employees of CV. All Solution Surabaya became the research sample. The data were analyzed using the path analysis method with the help of SmartPLS software. The results showed that: (1) Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (2) Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (3) Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. (4) Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. (5) Job satisfaction is proven to significantly mediate the effect of work motivation on employee performance. (6) Job satisfaction is proven to significantly mediate the effect of work discipline on employee performance. These findings provide important managerial implications. Strategic efforts to boost employee performance at CV All Solution Surabaya are not enough with direct intervention on motivation or discipline enforcement. Management needs to proactively build a conducive work environment to increase job satisfaction, because it is this satisfaction that serves as a catalyst for employee performance.
