Abstract

Abstract. Continuous work stress experienced by employees will reduce employee performance,
especially when it originates from interpersonal conflict. Interpersonal conflict is often one of
the factors causing work stress that can affect employee performance and well-being. Work
stress caused by interpersonal conflict can negatively impact employee motivation, productivity,
and mental health. This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal conflict
and employee work stress at PT. X. The method used is a quantitative corelations method. The
subjects of this study were all 75 people of PT X who were taken using a total sampling technique.
There are 2 data collection instruments in this study, namely, the Workplace Interpersonal
Conflict Scale (WICS) and the Job Stress Scale (JSS). The data analysis method was carried out
using Spearman correlation analysis with the help of the SPSS program. The results of the
analysis showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between interpersonal
conflict and employee work stress.
