Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social media in the socialization of early marriage prevention among adolescents in Laok Jangjang Village, Sumenep Regency. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected
through interviews, observations, and documentation involving teenagers, parents, and community leaders. The findings show that social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube serve as effective secondary agents of socialization in delivering educational messages about the risks of early marriage. The internalization of values among adolescents is strengthened
through peer discussions and parental guidance. Community figures also play a role in legitimizing these digital messages by integrating religious and local cultural values. Referring to Berger and Luckmann's socialization theory, this process is understood as a social construction that unfolds through the stages of externalization, objectivation, and internalization-interacting to form collective awareness in delaying early marriage.
