PERAN PARTAI POLITIK SEBAGAI SARANA PENDIDIKAN POLITIK DALAM MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI POLITIK BERDASARKAN UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR 2 TAHUN 2011 TENTANG PARTAI POLITIK (Studi: DPC Partai Gerindra Kabupaten Sumbawa)

This study aims to determine the role of Gerindra Party as a means of political education in increasing community political participation in Sumbawa Regency, in accordance with the legal provisions in Law No. 2 of 2011 concerning Political Parties. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, document studies and website studies. The main subjects of the research were the Chairman and several administrators of the DPC of the Gerindra Party in Sumbawa Regency. The DPC of Gerindra Party in Sumbawa Regency has conducted various political education activities such as seminars, training, socialization, and regeneration. These activities aim to increase people's understanding of politics, citizens' rights and obligations, and participation in democracy. Despite these efforts, there are still challenges such as low public trust in the party and limited resources. Conclusion The Sumbawa Regency Gerindra Party has carried out the function of political education as mandated by Law No. 2 of 2011. However, it is still necessary to improve strategies and consistency so that political education is more effective in increasing community participation and strengthening a healthy democratic climate.
