Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the optimality of the current distribution warehouse location of PT Harnaka Cristal Sejahtra in Sidoarjo and to identify a more efficient alternative location within East Java. The research employs the Center of Gravity method to determine the most geographically strategic location, and the Factor Rating method to assess non-geographic factors such as accessibility, land cost, infrastructure, market proximity, and labor availability. The findings indicate that Kunjang is a more favorable location, offering a 9.52% reduction in transportation costs compared to Sidoarjo. Additionally, the Factor Rating method assigns a higher score to Kunjang (3.61) than Sidoarjo (3.37), demonstrating Kunjang's superiority in strategic and operational aspects. Based on these results, it is concluded that Sidoarjo is not the most optimal distribution center location. Relocating the warehouse to Kunjang is recommended to enhance the company’s logistics efficiency and strengthen its competitive advantage. This research provides data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making in facility location planning for distribution companies.
