Abstract

This study aims to examine the moderating effect of incentives on the influence of training on competence. The type of research employed is explanatory research. The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected using accidental sampling techniques. Respondents were chosen based on the criterion of being active participants in the Prakerja program in 2024, specifically those who had selected training through the Skill Academy by Ruang Guru. Data were analyzed using scale range analysis and moderation analysis. The results indicate that training has a positive and significant effect on the competence of Prakerja participants. The positive relationship between training and competence suggests that the higher the quality of training, the higher the level of participant competence. Furthermore, training has a positive and significant effect on competence when moderated by incentives. These findings indicate that improving the quality of training leads to enhanced participant competence, particularly when incentives function as a moderating variable.
