Abstract
School profile websites play a crucial role as a medium of communication and information between educational institutions and the public. However, a user interface (UI) that is unresponsive and outdated can hinder the overall user experience (UX). This study aims to improve the UI design of the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Situbondo profile website by applying the Lean UX method. This method involves several stages: Declare Assumptions, Create Minimum Viable Product (MVP), Run an Experiment, and Feedback and Research. The evaluation was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure the usability level before and after the redesign. The initial evaluation showed that the website scored 48.25 on the SUS, categorized as “Not Acceptable.” After the redesign using the Lean UX approach and prototype evaluation, the SUS score increased to 82.5, which falls into the “Acceptable” category with a grade scale of B. These results indicate that the Lean UX method is effective in improving UI quality and enhancing user satisfaction. This research produced a new, modern, and user-centered interface design prototype.
