Abstract

The phenomenon of increasing number of female workers in recent decades has brought changes. However, this phenomenon also raises new challenges for working mothers, especially at the level of work-family conflict. This conflict can affect several aspects of life, especially in terms of life satisfaction. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between dual role conflict and life satisfaction of working mothers. The method used in this study is a non-experimental quantitative approach with a correlational design and data collection using a questionnaire. The subjects of the study were 130 working mothers. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The instruments used in this study were the dual role conflict scale (WFCS) and the life satisfaction scale (SWLS). Data analysis using SPSS application, and the technique used is spearman correlation. The results of this study indicate that the relationship between the variables is not statistically significant, with a significance value (p) of 0.085 (>0.05). However, the correlation coefficient (r) of -0.152 indicates that the relationship between the two variables is negative, although weak.
