Abstract
Career insecurity is a psychological condition that reflects an individual's uncertainty about their career direction and prospects. Final-year university students are particularly vulnerable to this condition due to the transitional phase toward entering the workforce. This study aims to describe the level of career insecurity among final-year students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang and to examine differences based on gender, cohort, age, and faculty. A quantitative descriptive approach was used, involving 370 respondents from the 2020 and 2021 cohorts. The instrument employed was the Job-Finding Anxiety Scale (JFAS) based on the job-finding anxiety framework, consisting of 20 items and three aspects: job-search process anxiety, job outcome anxiety, and job-search expectation. Teknik sampling Purposive Sampling. The results showed that most students were in the moderate category. Significant differences were found based on gender and faculty, while no differences were found based on age or cohort. These findings suggest the importance of implementing tailored interventions for specific faculties and groups more vulnerable to career insecurity.
