TATA KELOLA PARKIR DALAM MEWUJUDKAN JARINGAN TRANSPOTASI JALAN BERKELANJUTAN DI KOTA MALANG

One of the problems most often found in urban areas is traffic jams. Congestion can be caused by various factors, starting from the increasing volume of vehicles on the road and the result of illegal parking which makes the streets increasingly narrow. Therefore, researchers in the research entitled parking management in realizing a sustainable road transportation network in Malang City, aim to describe the parking management process and obstacles in parking management in realizing a road transportation network in Malang City. The research method used by researchers in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that the Malang City Transportation Department is developing innovations in the form of applications. The application created is the Sitokirma application which has a function and complaint service for people who are hampered or experiencing problems regarding parking in Malang City. This application is used to confirm and map official or unofficial parking attendants (Jukir). In accordance with what has been implemented by the Malang City government in 2021 which has already implemented E-Parking or electronic parking. In 2024, the Transportation Department has created an innovation in the form of the Malang Parking Information System (Siparma) application, which then the Malang City Government collaborates with the Transportation Department and the Police to carry out a joint operation in an effort to regulate parking in the Malang City area. Barriers to parking management include illegal parking, unclear recruitment of drivers, lack of public awareness, inappropriate parking fees, inadequate infrastructure and inappropriate parking facilities or areas.
