Abstract

The structural redesign of Kendari Heart Hospital implements a dual structural system, combining a Special Moment Resisting Frame (SMRF) and shear walls, in accordance with SNI 1726:2019 and SNI 2847:2019. This approach is considered suitable due to the hospital’s location in a high seismic risk area and its 17-story configuration. The seismic load was analyzed using the Response Spectrum Analysis (RSA) method to evaluate the building’s stability and structural behavior under lateral forces. The main structural components include floor slabs with 120 mm thickness, beams with a maximum height of 700 mm, columns sized up to 1000 mm x 1000 mm, and shear walls with a thickness of 350 mm. The analysis results indicate that the dual system significantly enhances the overall stiffness of the building and reduces inter-story drift, ensuring the structure meets the requirements for earthquake resistance based on applicable standards.
