Abstract

Scheduling in construction projects plays a crucial role in ensuring time and cost efficiency. This study evaluates the delay in the construction of the Group Leader mess building for PPA–MIP, which was initially planned to be completed within 27 weeks but experienced a delay and was completed in 38 weeks. The research uses the Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) method to evaluate and estimate the actual project completion duration and the probability of completing it on target. The evaluation results show that time estimation using the PERT method provides a more realistic picture in dealing with uncertainty. Based on the calculations using PERT, the original work plan needs to be rescheduled due to the relatively low probability value of 33.00%, indicating that completing the project within that timeframe is uncertain. Meanwhile, the result using the PERT method
shows a project duration of 35 weeks with a probability of 99.91%, which indicates a high and reliable likelihood. According to the results, the project using the PERT method shows a 99.91% probability for a 35-week plan, meaning the construction project of the Group Leader mess building for PPA–MIP has a 99.91% chance of being completed within 35 working weeks.
