Abstract
ABSTRACT
Background : Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are one of the most common occupational diseases experienced by workers, including online motorcycle taxi drivers. A static body posture, prolonged working hours, and extended years of service may increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.
Objective : This study aims to analyze the relationship between daily working duration and work tenure with the risk of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) among online motorcycle taxi drivers in Malang City.
Methods : This research employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 98 online motorcycle taxi drivers were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires on working duration, work tenure, and the Nordic Body Map to assess MSDs risk. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test with SPSS software.
Results : The chi-square test showed a significant relationship between work tenure and the risk of MSDs (p = 0.001), where drivers with more than five years of work experience had a higher risk.
Conclusion : Work tenure significantly contributes to the increased risk of musculoskeletal disorders, while daily working duration showed no significant relationship. These findings highlight the importance of managing long-term workload accumulation to prevent MSDs among online motorcycle taxi drive
