Abstract

Background : Diabetes is a disease that can be found quite often in Indonesia while there are a lot of option of chemical based medical treatment being used as the main treatment while there are a lot of herbs that could be used as alternatives treatment. Petiveria alliacea plants are being used as antidiabetic alternatives and this research will be using in silico method
Objective : To determine any interaction and affinity of the secondary metabolite compound of P.alliaceae with GLUT4 enzimes specifically as antidiabetic medicine alternatives
Research Methods : Prediction of antidiabetic activity with molecular docking methods and Autodock PyRx application
Results and Conclusion : Of the 15 secondary metabolite compounds there is one compound with a good affinity with GLUT4 as antidiabetic medicine candidate and one compound with good interaction with GLUT4 enzyme but still not as good as the internal ligands
