Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of green human resource management (GHRM) and organizational support (POS) on employee commitment with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. The background of this study is the high employee turnover and low job satisfaction at PT. Mega Global Food Industry Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research type. The research sample was 68 manufacturing employees, with a simple random sampling method. Data analysis used partial least squares-structural equality modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that green human resource management had an insignificant effect on job satisfaction, perceived organizational support had an effect on job satisfaction, green human resource management had an effect on employee commitment, perceived organizational support had an effect on employee commitment, job satisfaction had an effect on employee commitment and employee job satisfaction was unable to mediate the effect between green human resource management and perceived organizational support, on employee commitment. This study contributes to the development of green human resource management strategies and supports employee welfare as an effort to increase employee loyalty and work commitment.
