Abstract
Generation Z in Indonesia has 74.93 million people, which is more numerous than generations Y and X. Generation Z shows emotional instability resulting in frustration, lack of purpose in life because they are still haunted by an uncertain future, and have suspicions about the social environment and friendships related to quarter-life crisis. This study aims to determine the influence of psychological well-being on quarter-life crisis in generation Z. This study uses a quantitative correlational type. Participants in this study were 400 respondents. Subjects were taken using a convenience sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this study was Ryff's psychological well-being scale and Robbins & Wilner's quarter-life crisis scale which have been adapted into Indonesian. The data analysis technique used in this study was simple linear regression. The results of this study obtained an R² value of 0.150 and a beta value of (-0.387) with a p value of <0.001, indicating that there is a significant negative influence of psychological well-being on quarter-life crisis in generation Z. The implication of this study for generation Z is that it can increase awareness and the importance of maintaining psychological well-being by building supportive and supported social relationships in the process of finding self-identity and life goals to reduce quarter-life crisis.
