Abstract
The quality management of Islamic Education plays a very important role
in improving the quality of Islamic Education learning, in accordance with the
needs of students. Therefore, the material presented not only teaches religious
knowledge but also aims to shape character. For this reason, this study aims to
describe the planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation of Islamic
Education quality management at SD IT Iqra 1 Bengkulu City. This study uses a
qualitative approach with a case study type. The subjects in this study were the
principal, vice principal for curriculum affairs, three Islamic Religious Education
teachers, and two fifth-grade students as well as two sixth-grade students. Data
collection techniques used interviews, observations, and documentation. The data
analysis technique used Robert K. Yin’s theory, with the steps of pattern
matching, explanation building, and time-series analysis. Meanwhile, the validity
test of the data used triangulation techniques. The results of this study show: First,
the planning of Islamic Education quality management integrates Islamic values
into learning through the vision and mission, a relevant curriculum, and ongoing
teacher training. Second, the organizing of Islamic Education quality management
runs well by involving school stakeholders, such as the principal, vice principal,
IRE teachers, and students. Third, the implementation of quality management is
carried out holistically and in an integrated manner, with flexible and relevant
Islamic Education curriculum planning based on students’ needs, Islamic
Education teacher competency development, and the implementation of a quality
culture through continuous quality audits. Fourth, the evaluation of Islamic
Education quality management is conducted based on quality standards and is
established by involving stakeholders, including the principal, vice principal,
Islamic Education teachers, and students. Evaluation is also carried out on the
ability of teachers to integrate religious values and pedagogical skills.
