Abstract

this study aims to analyze the effect of Work-Life Balance on employee loyalty with Employee Well-Being as a mediating variable at Paputria Catering in Malang City. The background of this study is based on the high turnover rate, low loyalty, and suboptimal employee welfare, which can affect company performance. This study uses a quantitative approach and a saturated sampling method. The data collection technique is a questionnaire to the entire population of production employees, a total of 33 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural
Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method with the help of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of the study indicate that Work-Life Balance has a positive and significant effect on Employee Well-Being. Employee Well-Being also has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty. However, unexpectedly, it was found that Work-Life Balance has a direct negative effect on employee loyalty. The results of the mediation test show that Employee Well-Being does not significantly mediate the relationship between Work-Life Balance and employee loyalty. Thus, although Employee Well-Being has an important role in increasing loyalty, it was not proven to be a mediator in the relationship between Work-Life Balance and employee loyalty in this study.
