PENEGAKAN HUKUM TERHADAP KEKERASAN FISIK PADA ANAK OLEH KEPOLISIAN (Studi di Polresta Malang Kota)

Violence against children is a form of violence that violates children's rights and
has a serious impact on their psychological and social development. This study
aims to examine the enforcement of laws regarding child abuse crimes based on
Article 80(1) and Article 76C of Law No. 35 of 2014 on Child Protection in the
jurisdiction of the Malang City Police Department. The research method used is a
sociological-legal approach with a qualitative approach through interviews with
investigators from the Child Protection Unit of the Malang City Police Department.
The research findings indicate that law enforcement is in line with legal provisions;
however, it still faces challenges such as insufficient reporting, limited evidence,
and low public awareness of the forms of violence. This study emphasises the need
for collaboration between law enforcement agencies, educational institutions, and
the community in both preventive and repressive efforts against child abuse.
