Abstract
Generation Z, born between 1995 - 2010, has begun to enter the workforce with selective characteristics and a tendency to change jobs frequently, resulting in generally low organizational commitment. Organizational commitment reflects an employee's intention to remain in an organization, which is influenced by career adaptability and employee resilience. This study aims to examine the influence of career adaptability and employee resilience on
organizational commitment among Generation Z, using a quantitative correlational method with a sample of 390 respondents. This study used an organizational commitment scale, a career adaptability scale, and an employee resilience scale. Data were analyzed using multiple regression. The results showed a significant positive influence of career adaptability (0.01 < 0.05) and employee resilience (0.043 < 0.05) on organizational commitment. The implications of this study are to encourage Generation Z to prepare for their careers and develop skills, and for organizations to design career adaptability programs to increase employee commitment.
