Abstract

This study aims to analyze financial inclusion as a mediating variable in e-payment and financial risk on the financial performance of SMEs in Batu City. Financial performance serves as an indicator of the effectiveness of SME resource management, alongside the increasing digitalization and challenges posed by financial risk. The study employs a quantitative approach through a survey of SME operators in the flower shop sector. The variables examined include e-payment, financial risk, financial inclusion, and financial performance. The results indicate that e-payment has a positive effect on financial inclusion and performance, while financial risk has a positive effect on financial performance. Financial inclusion is proven to strengthen the positive impact of digital payment and reduce the impact of financial risk. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening digital financial access for SMEs to enhance competitiveness and business sustainability in the digital economy era.
