Abstract

MJM Battery is an automotive retail company specializing in the sale of batteries and vehicle components in the East Java region. This study aims to determine the optimal location for a new branch expansion using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Data were collected through structured interviews and questionnaires completed by six respondents, consisting of three internal company stakeholders and three external customers experienced in automotive retail. The study evaluates three alternative locations: Nganjuk, Mojokerto, and Tulungagung, based on five main criteria: land area, location distance, market potential, transportation routes, and cost. The AHP analysis reveals that market potential has the highest weight (0.459), followed by cost (0.178), transportation routes (0.17), land area (0.107), and location distance (0.087). The final results indicate that Mojokerto is the optimal location with a priority value of (0.394), surpassing Tulungagung (0.312) and Nganjuk (0.294).
