Abstract

Female lecturers often face dual roles, serving both as educators and as homemakers. These dual responsibilities frequently lead to pressure, stress, and an imbalance between work and personal life. This study aims to examine the effect of self-disclosure on work-life balance among female lecturers. A quantitative method with a correlational approach was employed. The sample consisted of 128 female lecturers, selected using accidental sampling. The instruments used in this study were the self-disclosure scale and the work-life balance scale. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate that self-disclosure has a positive and significant effect on work-life balance 0.003. However, the contribution of self-disclosure to work-life balance is relatively small, accounting for only 6,7%, suggesting that self-disclosure plays a minor role in influencing work-life balance.
