Abstract

The development of technology and changes in lifestyle have driven significant growth in Indonesia’s laundry industry. Steam irons have become the preferred choice due to their advantages over conventional irons; however, they still face challenges such as long heating times and the need for manual supervision. This study aims to design and implement an automatic control system for a steam iron boiler based on fuzzy logic, in order to maintain temperature and pressure stability automatically. The system is designed to be suitable for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with the goal of minimizing operational errors and improving efficiency and reliability in the ironing process. The fuzzy logic method is used to handle changes in temperature and pressure parameters in a flexible and adaptive manner. With this automation, it is expected that the ironing process in the laundry industry will become more practical, safe, and time-efficient without direct human intervention.
