Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of career development on employee retention mediated by job satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research method. The population in this study was 134 production employees at CV. Aneka Grafika Malang and a sample of 99 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used a questionnaire and was measured using a Likert scale. The data analysis method used was the scale range and the Structural Equation Modeling, Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method assisted by SmartPLS 4.1 software. The results of the study indicate that career development has a positive and significant effect on employee retention, career development has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee retention, and job satisfaction is able to mediate the effect of career development on employee retention.
