Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity, and leverage on financial distress. This type of research is quantitative with an associative approach with secondary data types. The data sources in the study are secondary data sources obtained from annual reports and through legitimate source websites. The data collection technique used in this study is the documentation technique. The population in this study is companies listed in the IDXPROPERT index as many as 85 companies using the purposive sampling method. Based on the determination of these criteria, there are 45 companies that are the research samples. The results of the study indicate that profitability has a significant negative effect on financial distress, liquidity has a significant negative effect on financial distress, and leverage has a significant positive effect on financial distress.
