Abstract
Doom scrolling is a condition where individuals are unable to control themselves from looking for negative news on social media. Doom scrolling among students can cause career anxiety, which is a state where individuals feel difficult, doubtful, and hesitant when making career decisions regarding their future. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between doom scrolling and career anxiety in students. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sampling technique used was Accidental Sampling. The instrument used to measure career anxiety was the Career Anxiety Scale, and the instrument to measure doom scrolling used the Propensity to Doom scrolling scale. The number of respondents in this study was 190 subjects with the criteria of active college students. Data analysis used the Spearman's rho correlation test with SPSS for windows version 25.0. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between doom scrolling and career anxiety with a significance value of 0.00 (<0.05). This means that the higher the doom scrolling, the higher the career anxiety.
