Abstract
CV. Melanesia Maju Bersama Company located in Labuan Bajo, is one of the
companies engaged in the tourism sector providing services, especially in Labuan
Bajo, Waerebo and Sumba. In every activity, CV. Melanesia Maju Bersama promotes
its services by using social media Instagram and WhatsApp chat as its reservations.
However, in its implementation it is still considered ineffective because there are
obstacles in making reservations via WhatsApp. Then consumers still lack
information and facilities. Therefore, a Tour Reservation System Design was carried
out using the Design Thinking Approach. By using a prototype, a system prototype
will be produced and become an initial picture for users and developers, and allows
validation of the system concept to be developed. The method used is Design
Thinking, where this method solves problems that have not been defined directly by
studying user needs, collecting ideas at the brainstorming stage and using a direct
approach with the prototyping stage and direct testing. This research focuses on
design solutions with the design thinking method. The results of this study produce a
solution design in the form of a tour reservation system design that is adjusted to
user needs using the design thinking method. Then the system testing using the
usability testing method using the Maze platform got a score of 92 and testing using
the System Usability Scale (SUS) got a score of 91.5, indicating grade "A". Where it
can be stated that the design of this prototype is acceptable to its users.
