Abstract

This research is based on problems experienced by fourth-grade students at SDN Kabuh, particularly in understanding the cultural diversity material in the IPAS (Science and Social Education) subject. One of the main issues is the limited use of instructional media that effectively supports and clarifies the delivery of the material. Learning activities tend to be teacher-centered, while students often appear passive and exhibit varied learning styles. Many students prefer learning through active engagement; therefore, the researcher aims to develop a learning product that not only increases student motivation but also aligns with their diverse learning preferences. The purpose of this research is to develop “GEMARAYA” Interactive Multimedia integrated with Ethno Games for the IPAS subject in Grade IV Elementary School.
In the development of “GEMARAYA,” the researcher employed the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: 1) Analyze, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, and 5) Evaluation. The research subjects involved fourth-grade students at SDN Kabuh.
“GEMARAYA” was developed through a validation process to ensure its appropriateness for use in learning activities. This validation consisted of two aspects: material validation and media validation. Material validation was conducted in two stages. The first stage yielded a validity score of 75%, indicating that the material was valid but required revision. After revisions, the second stage showed a significant improvement with a score of 92.5%, placing it in the "highly valid" category. Media validation was carried out once and resulted in a score of 86.3%, also indicating that the media was highly valid for implementation in the teaching and learning process.
