Abstract

In today's digital age, the lifestyle of a digital nomad is gaining increasing popularity. A digital nomad is an who utilizes digital technology to work independently exploring the world with flexibility. They can work from virtually anywhere as long as they have internet access, allowing them to discover new places while remaining productive. The implementation of the Nearby feature in the Backpacker app will greatly assist those pursuing a digital nomad lifestyle. The UX Journey method aims to enhance the user experience when searching for and locating relevant sites during their travels. In this study, we employed the UX Journey method to gain insights into user behavior and their needs while using the Backpacker app. Our analysis revealed that Backpacker users require features that help them identify relevant locations and streamline their journeys. Consequently, we developed the Nearby feature to display pertinent locations based on users' current whereabouts and their individual preferences. The findings of our research indicate that the newly developed feature can significantly improve the user experience, making it easier for them to seek out relevant locations.
