Abstract

The development of applications continues to advance rapidly, especially in education, with applications facilitating learning processes and information delivery. In higher education, a reliable student grade quality management system is required to produce high-quality and professional graduates. Information systems are crucial for organizations, including supporting mobility and efficiency through technology. The design of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) is an essential component in the development of websites and applications, contributing to user comfort and engagement. This research focuses on the development of an application interface prototype using the Lean UX method, based on Design Thinking and Agile Development. Through this method, iterative approach is taken to understand user needs and create responsive design solutions. A case study on the BKS-TM Indonesia website, an organization comprising higher education institutions in mechanical engineering, highlights the need for improved UI/UX to support the website's function as a central information for mechanical engineering. The designed interface prototype is expected to enhance communication, collaboration, and user experience overall with efficient and cost-effective approach.
