Abstract

This research aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR)-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) on plane-sided solid geometry for junior high school (SMP) students. The background of this research is based on students' poor understanding of 3D geometry concepts and the limited availability of conventional learning media capable of facilitating spatial visualization. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The subjects were eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Puri.
Data collection instruments included an expert validation questionnaire, a teacher and student practicality questionnaire, and a pre- and post-test to measure effectiveness. Validation results indicated that the AR-based worksheet (LKPD) was highly valid, with a validation score of 80% from two experts (materials, media, and pedagogy). The practicality of the media was also very high, with 75,93% of respondents stating that the media was easy to use and supported learning. The effectiveness test results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes with an N-gain value of 0.497.
Therefore, it can be concluded that the development of AR-based worksheets is effective in improving students' understanding of flat-sided geometric shapes. This medium also demonstrated high validity and practicality, making it an innovative alternative in technology-based mathematics learning.
