Abstract
This research aims to analyze the effect of scaffolding strategy on students' skills in solving mathematical word problems at SDN Kunjorowesi 2, Mojokerto Regency. The method used is a quantitative approach with an experimental design, involving two groups: the experimental class applying the scaffolding strategy and the control class using conventional methods. The results of the study show that the application of the scaffolding strategy significantly improves student learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.005, which is less than 0.05. The application of this strategy is carried out through stages that include determining the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD), active guidance, and evaluating learning outcomes. These findings indicate that the scaffolding strategy is effective in enhancing students' understanding and skills in solving word problems, as well as promoting better interaction between teachers and students. This research recommends that teachers understand and implement scaffolding strategies comprehensively to maximize student learning outcomes
