Abstract

Seeds are a basic component in the agricultural production process, serving as the starting point of a plant's life cycle. Hybrid corn seeds play an important role in determining the quality and quantity of harvests, but hybrid corn seed production in Kromengan Subdistrict fluctuates every year, resulting in uncertain incomes for farmers. To overcome this problem, intervention through partnership patterns is needed to increase income production. The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the correlation between production factors and hybrid corn seed production, (2) to analyze the correlation between production and income from hybrid corn seed farming, and (3) to analyze the contribution of partnership patterns to hybrid corn seed production and income. The research method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) or Partial Least Squares (PLS), conducted from August 2024 to May 2025. The results of the study indicate that (1) Each factor of production, such as land area, fertilizer, labor, farmer age, farmer education, farming experience, and gender, contributes to production. (2) Hybrid corn seed production correlates 61% with hybrid corn seed farming income. (3) Partnership patterns as an intervening factor contribute to production and income, as indicated by a correlation coefficient value of 17.6%.
