Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment on organizational commitment with employee engagement as a mediating variable at PDAM Pamekasan. The type of research used is explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The population consisted of all employees at PDAM Pamekasan, totaling 76 people, all of whom were selected as respondents through total sampling. Data collection was done through questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using scale ranges and statistical tests using Structural Equation Modelling with the Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach with the help of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that the work environment has a significant influence on both employee engagement and organizational commitment. Furthermore, employee engagement significantly affects organizational commitment and mediates the relationship between the work environment and organizational commitment. These findings affirm that a supportive work environment, coupled with high employee engagement, plays a crucial role in fostering strong organizational commitment at PDAM Pamekasan.
