Abstract
Sexual violence is an act that degrades, humiliates, harasses, or attacks a person's body or reproductive function, which occurs due to power or gender inequality. Sexual violence is a violation of human rights that leaves deep and prolonged wounds for victims, both physically, psychologically, and socially. Therefore, the presence of social workers is very important to help victims regain their rights and be able to function socially again. This study aims to find out what the role of social workers is in psychosocial assistance for child victims of sexual violence, to find out the methods used by social workers, and to find out what challenges are faced by social workers during the assistance process. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type, which describes symptoms, events, or events that occur at this time. In selecting subjects and informants, the author used purposive sampling, which is a sample selection carried out by determining research subjects based on certain criteria. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out by collecting data, condensing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Data validity testing was carried out with extended observation, triangulation, and member checks. The results showed that: first; the most dominant role of social workers used in psychosocial assistance for child victims of sexual violence at Sentra Paramita Mataram is counsellor and motivator. Second; The methods used by social workers at Sentra Paramita Mataram are casework methods for individuals and groupwork methods for friends and family of victims. Third; the challenges faced by social workers during the mentoring process are language and parents who do not want to cooperate for the recovery of children.
