Abstract
Bullying is a complex problem that is increasingly common in school environments, including at the elementary school level. In dealing with bullying situations, students need to develop effective coping and resilience strategies to overcome the stress and trauma caused. This study aims to analyze the coping and resilience strategies used by students in dealing with bullying at Sidokerto Elementary School. This study uses qualitative research with a case study type. This type of qualitative research based on a case study aims to determine or explore the coping and resilience strategies used by students in dealing with bullying at Sidokerto Elementary School. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of students who had experienced bullying, and class teachers. The results of the study showed that the forms of bullying most often experienced by students included verbal bullying (taunts, insults) and light physical bullying (pushing, pinching). Students' responses to bullying vary, depending on individual character, social support, and family and school involvement. This study also found that the role of teachers is very important in creating a safe and supportive school environment. There are two main types of coping strategies that are often used by students, namely EmotionFocused Coping and Problem-Focused Coping. And resilience strategies can help students to survive, develop mental resilience, and recover from bullying experiences. Students who use effective coping and resilience strategies feel accepted at school, while those who use less effective strategies often have difficulty in establishing social relationships with their friends.
