Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of social rehabilitation programs and processes for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) at Sentra Paramita Mataram. The research is motivated by the rising number of children involved in legal cases and the urgent need for rehabilitative approaches in protecting and restoring their social functioning. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included social workers, instructors, caregivers, and CICL residing at the facility. Data analysis followed the stages of data condensation, data display, interpretation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation used to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that Sentra Paramita Mataram conducts social rehabilitation through three main programs: (1) spiritual and mental development via routine religious activities to shape moral values and character; (2) vocational training in automotive skills, furniture making, and printing to enhance independence and work readiness; and (3) entrepreneurial support for children demonstrating seriousness, persistence, and discipline. The rehabilitation process is carried out in a structured, individualized manner beginning with needs assessment and concluding with resocialization. This study concludes that the social rehabilitation programs at Sentra Paramita play a vital role in reestablishing the social roles of CICL. Nonetheless, challenges remain, particularly in sustaining active participation and motivation among children in religious activities. The findings contribute to the development of more holistic and recovery-oriented social rehabilitation services for children involved in the justice system.
