Hubungan Dukungan Sosial Teman Sebaya Dengan Efikasi Diri Pada Siswa SMP Evergreen Kota Pangkalan Kerinci

The transition to junior high school is a critical developmental stage filled with challenges for adolescents, including the risk of low self-efficacy. Low self-efficacy can negatively affect students’ learning motivation and social adjustment. Peer support plays a significant role in strengthening students’ self-confidence and self-efficacy. This study aims to examine the relationship between peer social support and self-efficacy among 98 students at Evergreen Junior High School in Pangkalan Kerinci. This research employed a quantitative correlational approach using a self-efficacy scale and a peer social support scale as instruments. Data were analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation. The results showed a positive relationship between peer social support and students' self-efficacy.
